I am delighted to announce that I will be showing my work at the Craft Central Winter Market at The Forge this Winter.
I have been working hard and beavering away over the past few months with my new plans for 2019.
As mentioned in a precious blog post I wanted to re-introduce the techniques of chasing and repousse to my practice and develop a new collection of precious jewellery.
Having been accepted to the Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey Devon gave me a wonderful deadline to work towards.
I had heard about this show from a fellow jeweller who recommended it highly. Having the June deadline in mind I started working on new pieces in February. I wanted to design a collection that incorporated my love for chasing and repousse and beautiful precious gemstones. Working with sterling silver sheet I handcrafted textured and tactile jewellery. The Collection ranges from small every day wear studs to large statement pieces for the confident lady that is not afraid to stand out.
The statement piece
Every collection needs a statement piece.
While making sure the Decorio Collection had a lot of every day pieces, I also wanted to design one beautifully crafted statement piece. I had a few ideas of how I want this piece to look like and at the end this beauty was the result of my labour of love. Each element of this sterling silver statement necklace was individually handchased, soldered together and finished off with a light texture evolving into chased detail. I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I had joy making it.
The Craft Festival
We arrived on thursday 6th June at lunch time in picturesque Bovey Tracey. After setting up in Mill Marsh Park during the afternoon we had a quick freshening up at our local AirBnB. We got all dressed up and came back to the venue for the private view in the evening. The weather was beautiful and the Craft Festival was opening with a brilliant private view. I met my lovely stand neighbours who were all very talented individuals. I was located in the Start-Up Tent with other new makers who had just launched their business in the past two years. So we had lots to chat about.
The following three days were so wonderful. If you live in the area, I do recommend visiting the Craft Festival next year. Not only are there lots of wonderful crafts people exhibiting their amazing work, the U-shaped exhibition was surrounding a field of activities, food stalls and drinks pavillions. A truly wonderful place to be on a summers day.
The Decorio Collection
Over the weekend my Decorio Collection received lots of compliments, especially the statement necklace, which I loved showing to the visitors of my stand.
Another favourite of the shows was this beauty to the right, the Decorio Quartet ring. Delicately chased Decorio elements with a stunning 5mm Peridot as a centre stone!
Have I made you curious now?
If you would like to see the rest of the pieces I launched last weekend, why not head to my Collections Section and browse the Decorio Collection?
I hope you enjoyed my latest blog post about the launch of my new Decorio Collection. If you would like to stay up to date with me and what’s happening in my business, please sign up to my newsletter below.

As this is the month of fresh starts and planning, I thought I would share with you my plans for this year, which I’m VERY excited about! I’m also going to tell you the story of how I got in to hand-making jewellery.
Spoiler alert! It features puberty, glass beads and 3D printing.
All good stories have a beginning, so let me start by telling you where my love for jewellery making began.
So, you’ve bought some beautiful precious jewellery and you’re keen to show it off. You’ve taken selfies and posted on Instagram and Facebook. Who wouldn’t? I do it too! But if you want your jewellery to look its best for as long as possible it’s important to look after it.
For some, purchasing precious jewellery can be an investment into a family heirloom, particularly when it comes to engagement rings. It’s something that you can pass on to your children or grandchildren and something which you hope will retain its beauty for years to come. Here are my top tips to help you maintain the longevity of your precious jewellery.
You will find me on stall 111 in The Truman Brewery at the world famous Best of Britannia trade show 2017, and I couldn’t be more chuffed! I will there today (Thursday 12th October) and tomorrow so come and say hello and grab some of my shiny new business cards and beautiful postcards.
I’m very excited to be launching this new website and can’t wait to hear what you think. I have been spending so much time making this site just perfect and hope it really shows.
