Felix wanted to get his wife a gift to celebrate the birth of their baby, but he wasn’t sure what. What gift can you get your wife when she’s having a baby? He knew he wanted something special and personal, and after seeing a design on my Facebook page (Add HYPERLINK), he got in touch. A bespoke family pendant was just the thing he wanted. A commemorative piece of jewellery that could be personalised for their family. I love personalising my jewellery for different customers, so I was excited to work on this project.
We discussed the options to personalise the pendant for his family. I made a few sketches by hand and used CAD on the computer so he could get a good idea of the finished product. The final pendant had two white gold rings – representing daddy and mummy – a rose gold ring for their oldest girl and a yellow gold ring for the baby boy. We ended up with a classic design of delicate wire that suited his wife’s style. I kept Felix updated throughout via WhatsApp with images of the making process. He said he loved seeing the necklace take shape and come to fruition.
When the birth day finally came, Felix gave his wife the bespoke family pendant, and she was super surprised! We were impressed with ourselves that we’d managed to keep it a secret. They all loved the finished bespoke family pendant, especially how each piece of wire represents one of them. Congratulations to them on the birth of their healthy baby boy and I hope they continue to treasure their commemorative jewellery for years to come.
